Yes, it is that time of year again. The flowers are in bloom, the birds are chirping and it is time for the annual IDA conference. The conference is scheduled for May 7th-9th at the Indianapolis Mariott Downtown. This is always an exciting conference to attend fom the wonderful guest speakers to of course visiting all the wonderful exhibitor’s!!! Come visit me at the Mid America Health booth in the Exhibitor’s Hall. We will be there on May 7th from 2-7PM and on May 8th from 8AM-4PM. We look forward to meeting you there and telling you more about what Mid America Health has to offer!! SEE YOU THEN!

Mardis Gras literally means Fat Tuesday. This celebration has grown in popularity in the recent years. The origin of Fat Tuesday goes back to the Catholic Church and is basically the “last hurrah” before the Lenten season begins, which is a time of fasting, sacrifice and prayer.
A known tradition of Mardis Gras is the King Cake. The cakes are made in a circle, and in early days, a coin or bean was hidden inside the cake, and whoever found the item was said to have good luck in the coming year. Today, bakers now put a small baby, representing the Christ Child in the cake; the recipient is then expected to host the King Cake for the next year!

Exciting and Busy Year Ahead in Recruiting!
Wednesday, February 11th, 2009It is hard to believe that we are already in the second month of 2009. It seems like 2008 just started. My how time flies when you are having fun. This year is going to be an exciting and busy one in the Recruiting Department. We have wonderful career opportunities available, which we are diligently working to fill. We also have several career fairs and dental conferences we will be attending. A couple to look forward to are the IDA Conference in May and the ODA conference in August. OH, how those warm and sunny months sound so nice…
ISAAC KNAPP DISTRICT DENTAL SOCIETY
Wednesday, February 11th, 2009I am looking forward to making the trip to Fort Wayne this Friday, February 13th for the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society meeting. Mid America Health will have a booth set up in the exhibitor hall and we will be looking forward to seeing you there! I am hoping this warm weather will hold out until weeks end. What a taste of Spring. I must say if there is a such thing as spring fever, I have it!!
