Ohio Car Buffs

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

I have discovered that some of our Ohio staff and even clients are old car buffs like me. Mrs. Terri Green, former HCA of Hocking Correctional, is fond of her late 60’s Camaro’s. Dr Franz, of CCI, is a proud Mustang owner like my self. I thought some of you would like to know about a large car show being held in Columbus, OH, in July. The Good Guys Rod & Custom Show will be held at the Expo Center on July 10, 11, 12th and will host 2000-3000 hotrods. My husband and I will be exhibiting our Mustang and I would love to see some of you there. There is no need to be a hotrod owner to attend, spectators are more than welcome. Follow the link to the “Good Guys” website for more info. Hope to see you there!

Back to work after a rejuvenating vacation!

Monday, April 27th, 2009

I’ve returned from my week long quilting adventure rejuvenated and ready to tackle our new recruiting challenges.  I spent this last week in Paducah, KY at the National Quilt Convention where I found inspiration in the talent and patience it took to design and complete those beautiful quilts.  I know this is a long shot but I figure it takes talent, patience and imagination to be a recruiter as well!  Upon my return to the office I found that we are expanding our dental services into Florida.  My task is now to find dentists and assistants for the new portable route we are developing.  I’m thankful we are expanding into some southern states.  Florida in winter sounds so much better than Cleveland in winter.  No offense to Cleveland though as I’ve grown fond of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and Case Western.  Ok, so I’m off to begin my quilt inspired recruiting adventure!

Needle Safety

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

MAH  experienced a 42% increase in Workers Comp claims in
2008.  We are not off to a good start in 2009.  Needle Sticks was the number one claim in 2008 and continues to be an issue in 2009.

Recapping of needles should be limited and safety devices must be used.  The BenCo catalogue has
a couple of different items that can be used.

Safety gloves should be used in the sterilization process of instruments.
Protect yourself.  Think Safety!!
