William Mathews, President, since 1986: was born in Tennessee and relocated with his family to Indiana as a twelve year old and has made Indiana his home. Mr. Mathews married Jackie, a native Hoosier farm girl, and the couple has been blessed with two children and four grandchildren. Mr. Mathews, an honorably discharged officer of the U.S. Army, pursued undergraduate studies at Indiana Central College (now the University of Indianapolis), in business administration and economics and graduate studies at Indiana University School of Law, in the general study of law. Mr. Mathews enjoys his family, reading and bird dogs.
Jackie MathewsBorn in Knightstown, Indiana to a young farmer and his wife; Jackie was delivered at home by the local doctor and his nurse! She is a lifetime Hoosier having graduated from Spiceland High School, in a class of just 26. She attended Indiana Central College now known as University of Indianapolis, where she focused on accounting and business related courses. She has 35 years experience in accounting, book keeping and payroll related tasks. She has been married for 41 years to Bill Mathews, founder and president of Mid America Health, Inc. They have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Jackie enjoys traveling, decorating, antique shopping and shopping in general!
Patrick MurphyPatrick joined Mid America Health, Inc. in 1997 after working as a Registered Stock Broker. Through the dedicated effort of Patrick and Bill Mathews they have expanded Mid America Health from a small Midwestern company to a national leader in correctional dental healthcare services. Patrick attended Ball State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Corporate Financial Management. He is happily married to Kristin and they have three beautiful children.
José LopezJosé has over 15 years experience in correctional healthcare and has been with Mid America Health, Inc. since 2001. He began as the Director of Human Resources but was promoted due to his diligence and dedicated work ethic. Today José is responsible for over seeing the day to day operations of the correctional dental clinics in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. He attended St. Louis University and received a BS in Business Administration, a BA in Psychology and a Masters of Business Administration. José enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and their 3 children he also enjoys a good piece of chocolate and a good laugh.
Keith WallsKeith Walls, Chief Financial Officer at Mid America Health, manages the financial operations for the world’s premier dental solutions provider. His responsibilities also include communicating financial performance and forecasts to other executive team members and assisting with the day-to-day operations of Mid America. Keith’s experiences range from “Big 8″ public accounting to real estate accounting to manufacturing accounting, resulting in over 23 years of progressive leadership in corporate finance and management. In 2006, he worked with a team of managers tasked with the sale of the Diesel Group of Remy Incorporated and then led the integration of the finance function into the Reman Group of Caterpillar, Inc.
He experienced success in financial management, planning and analysis, business planning and hands-on management of growing operations as a financial leader for United Technologies in their Carrier and Pratt & Whitney operations. At various operations and divisions, Keith had responsibility for accounting, payroll, financial reporting, inventory management and information systems.
Keith’s financial career began in 1985 at renowned “Big 8″ accounting firm Peat Marwick (now KPMG), where he served in the audit and tax groups. He then spent time as accountant for Indianapolis developer, Mansur Group, Inc. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University in 1985. He received his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, and was named Outstanding Professional in his core group in 2000.
Keith has been married since 1985, has three children, is an active member of his church and has also served on various boards and commissions for the local school corporation. He is an avid fan of his three children’s music and sporting performances and enjoys following IU and Butler basketball.
Kim MosbyKim Mosby joined Mid America Health, Inc in 2005 with more than 30 years experience in Human Resources. He has worked in correctional healthcare since 1999, bringing with him a strong knowledge of the correctional health field. He is a retired Coast Guard Officer with over 22 years on active duty. His knowledge of government contracting and military systems has played a vital role in the recent growth of the military division. He is directly responsible for the Affirmative Action Plan and plays a key role in strategic planning and development of personnel policies. He holds both a BA and BS degree from Columbia College and is a member of the American Legion Post 252.
Kimberly WhitisKimberly has 15 years experience in the dental field, 11 of those with Mid America Health, Inc. She has worked in many aspects of the profession including Dental Assisting, Oral Surgery Assisting, Portable Dental Route Coordination and Office Management. Kimberly also worked as the Pacific Northwest Regional Manager based in Seattle, Washington for 3 years. She is currently responsible for staffing the correctional facilities of three states, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. As the Director of Recruitment she is also responsible for developing and maintaining successful advertising campaigns. Kimberly became a Certified Dental Assistant by attending Professional Careers Institute. She also attended IUPUI majoring in Psychology and earned an Associates Degree. In her spare time Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband and stepson, quilting and attending car shows with her 1966 Mustang.
Rachele GaudinRachele attended IUPUI earning a Bachelor’s in Psychology, with an Industrial/Organizational Specialization and a Human Resource Management Certification, both from Purdue University. She has 10 years financial and customer service experience prior to joining Mid America Health, Inc. Rachele is primarily responsible for recruiting and staffing positions, as well as, companywide benefits administration. Since joining Mid America Health, Inc. in 2007, she has reduced the number of vacancies in the Federal Division, streamlined the application process, and added efficiency to the administration of benefits. In her spare time, Rachele raises three boys and a husband.
Beth ParksBeth joined the Mid America Health, Inc. team as a Recruiting Specialist in May of 2008, and has since transitioned into the role of Operations Manager for the Corrections Division. She has worked within the field of dentistry for over six years, with experience in oral surgery, pediatric and general dentistry. She is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations within the dental clinics in Mid America Health’s corrections division. Beth received a Bachelor’s Degree, in Health Administration, from the University of Phoenix in 2006. She also holds an Associate of Science Degree in Office Administration from Ivy Tech Community College. When not in the office Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and twin boys!
Christine HoweChristine joined Mid America Health, Inc in 2001 with more than 25 years experience in the dental field. Christine became a Certified Dental Assistant by earning a degree thru Indiana University School of Dentistry. Christine began her career with Mid America Health working in the corrections division, eventually moving onto jails with the portable division.
Since becoming the Training manager she coordinates the scheduling of the portable routes, and does the training of all new employees in the portable division.
Christine has also been staffing medical personnel for state run facilities in Indiana.
When not in the office Christine enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, children and yorkies.
